Challenges
Excelya aimed to support new managers in their transition into leadership roles by developing their skills, helping them gain perspective on their roles, and facilitating their transition. The goal was to integrate this support into a comprehensive leadership development pathway, aligning coaching sessions with the eight managerial competencies expected of Excelya managers.
Solution
We deployed a coaching program consisting of six sessions for each new manager, spread over a 12-month period from their start date. With a target population of 100 managers per year, 60 coaching sessions were conducted in 2023. This program was designed to complement existing training by aligning coaching sessions with the eight expected managerial competencies.
