Qonto partnered with Coachello in 2022 to provide personalized coaching to its leadership team as part of our commitment to fostering professional growth and well-being. The impact was so profound that we expanded the program to all employees, embedding coaching into our culture and supporting every individual’s development journey. It then moved forward with a leadership program that helps people further their careers as well as providing coaching for existing leaders and executives.

Challenge

With rapid growth and evolving organizational demands, Qonto recognised the challenge of effectively supporting both its managers and emerging leaders. The company sought a comprehensive solution to address critical leadership gaps, promote team collaboration, and equip leaders with the skills needed to navigate both individual and team challenges.

Additionally, Qonto sought to ensure consistent learning and development (L&D) programs across the company that would elevate leadership at every level, from new leaders to experienced managers. The challenges included:

  • The need for structured support for new managers to transition into their roles effectively.
  • A desire to equip emerging leaders with the skills necessary to excel in a dynamic work environment.
  • A requirement for workshops to address various learning and development needs across the organization.

Solution

Qonto partnered with Coachello to meet a range of talent development needs by leveraging Coachello’s diverse solutions, including workshop design and facilitation, coaching programs, and assessments such as 360 feedback, MBTI, and DISC. This comprehensive approach ensured that Qonto’s teams received tailored support to enhance their development and drive performance.

  1. Coaching for Managers – Lift-Off
    At Qonto, we integrated coaching as the second step of their Lean-based learning methodology for first-time managers, where it begins with initial training as the first step followed by co-development groups and mentoring as the third and fourth step respectively. The coaching component consists of a kick-off session to introduce coaching, followed by a tripartite meeting between coach, coachee and their manager to align on expectations, and four one-hour coaching sessions delivered through our Slack-integrated platform to help managers apply training concepts like feedback, assertiveness, and difficult conversations. The program supports 6 cohorts of 12 managers annually with excellent satisfaction rates of nearly 9/10.
  2. Coaching for Leaders - Elevate Your Leadership
    We designed with Qonto’s L&D team, the Elevate Your Leadership program with six collective workshop sessions focused on strategic themes (self-leadership, team psychological safety, vision building, and organizational posture), complemented by four individual coaching sessions to help leaders implement learnings and overcome specific challenges. The program follows a holistic approach moving from self-development to team leadership and organizational impact.
  3. On demand Workshops for L&D Needs
    Coachello delivered a series of tailored workshops to support Qonto’s broader learning and development goals, focusing on both co-development initiatives and leadership programs. These workshops addressed key areas like DISC assessments, effective communication, public speaking, and stakeholder management. Each session was carefully designed to meet specific organizational needs, equipping teams with practical skills to boost performance and foster stronger collaboration across the company.
